ASHLAND – One of the more memorable performances ever for the Southern Oregon University women's wrestling team yielded Cascade Conference weekly awards Monday for the Raiders and 170-pound senior Joye Levendusky.

SOU was named CCC Under Armour Team of the Week after claiming the NAIA women's division title at the U.S. Marine Corps/NWCA National Dual Meet Championships on Saturday in Louisville, Ky. During their run, the top-ranked Raiders knocked off Ottawa (Kan.) (43-6) in the Round of 16, No. 9 Texas Wesleyan (32-10) in the quarterfinals, No. 5 Menlo (Calif.) (25-18) in the semifinals, and No. 2 Grand View (Iowa) (22-18) in the championship.

They had to come from behind in the last two rounds, and Levendusky – voted the CCC Rize Laboratory Women's Wrestler of the Week – swung the lead in their favor in both. The product of Avon, N.Y., who transferred prior to this season from McKendree University (Ill.), finished 4-0 at the tournament with technical falls in each victory. She defeated Menlo's Jessica Mendietta, 10-0, and Grand View's No. 4-ranked Abby McIntyre, 10-0, on Day 2 after easing past Ottawa's No. 10 Darby Weidl, 10-0, and Texas Wesleyan's No. 15 Aalyah Villareal, 10-0, on Day 1.

Levendusky, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA at 170, owns a 16-1 record on the season. The weekly CCC award was the second she's earned.

She and the Raiders are home for the last time at 2 p.m. Saturday, facing No. 5 Providence (Mont.) inside Bob Riehm Arena.
