COMPLETE MEET RESULTS

MARION, Ind. – Southern Oregon sophomore Abi Stevens continued to produce on the final day of the season, locking up All-America honors for the second time in as many days and the eighth time overall in her career Friday at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

A day after placing fourth in the heptathlon, Stevens was sixth in the long jump on the final afternoon of the meet at the Indiana Wesleyan Track and Field Complex. She cleared 5 feet 6 ¼ inches for her top mark of the season and became the first Raider ever to attain All-America status twice in the outdoor women's high jump.

Over two seasons and four combined national indoor and outdoor meets, Stevens has entered eight competitions and placed top-seven in all of them. She's now tied with Arianna Daniel for the second-most All-America accolades in SOU women's track and field history.

She nearly exited the latest competition early, needing all three attempts to clear the first two bars of 5-3 and 5-5 before getting over 5-6 ¼ on her first try. Jennah Carpenter of Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), who edged Stevens at the Cascade Conference Championships, won the title by clearing 5-8 ½.

The Raider men wrapped up their showing at the meet with stellar performances from Isaac Fernandez and Luke King.

Running for the third day in a row after placing 13th in Wednesday's 10,000-meter final and logging the sixth-fastest time in Thursday's 5K prelims, Fernandez concluded his career by taking 11th in the 5K final with a time of 15:01.68. He'd entered the meet as the No. 30 overall seed and finished just eight seconds outside of the top-eight. The Yreka, Calif., product will leave SOU as a two-time All-American and a CCC champion, collecting all three honors in cross country.

Making his first national meet appearance, King placed 12th in the shot put with a mark of 51-10 ¾. It was his second-best of the season and came on the heels of a runner-up effort at the CCC Championships.

Cody Le Bel was the only other Raider in action. He went out on the first bar in the pole vault along with six others in the 23-person field.
