COLUMBUS, Ga. – Three Southern Oregon softball players joined NAIA World Series MVP
Cayla Williams on the all-tournament team, the national office announced after the Raiders won their third national championship Wednesday.

Sarah Kerling were each named to the 15-person squad for aiding the Raiders' perfect run through the tournament. They outscored their four opponents 35-2 – marking the highest run total and top run differential ever among teams that have gone undefeated at the final site.
Williams, the senior right-hander from San Jose, Calif., led the pack. She pitched all 23 defensive innings for SOU at the tournament and posted a 0.61 ERA while allowing just 13 hits. Williams finished up with her second shutout of Oregon Tech in five days, a five-hitter that brought her season record to 24-5. She was also a force from the cleanup spot in the Raider lineup, going 5-for-14 with 10 RBIs and hitting a grand slam in a 5-1 tourney-opening win over Georgia Gwinnett.
Donovan, who earned the World Series MVP award in 2021, marked her return to Columbus with a record-setting total of 11 RBIs. She went 6-for-11 over four games and homered in each of the last three of them. Her 23rd and final blast of the year was a grand slam that served as the finishing touch of an 11-0 win over Oregon Tech in the championship.
Acosta went 7-for-15 with six runs scored and four RBIs at the tournament while playing error-free defense in the field. She was one of SOU's top performers throughout the postseason, batting .500 (16-for-32) with six multi-hit games since the start of the Opening Round.
Kerling wrapped up the week at 7-for-10 with five runs scored. In SOU's first defeat of Oregon Tech, 10-0 on Saturday, she went 4-for-4 to become the second player in team history with a four-hit game at the World Series.
As a team, SOU batted .396 at the final site.
