Luke King finished 29th place in the Saturday at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships inside the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
King's first two attempts were foul and his third traveled 48 feet 7 ¼ inches. The top-eight, All-America cutoff was 53-6 ½.
King had qualified with a mark of 51-11 ¾. He's a two-time national qualifier entering the outdoor season, which begins March 9 at the Lane Open in Eugene.
Abi Stevens was SOU's other participant at the meet. On Thursday, she became a nine-time overall All-American with a third-place effort in the pentathlon.
