ASHLAND — Southern Oregon University's Alyssa Johnson and Carter Stedman on Monday were voted McDonald's Cascade Conference Athletes of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network.

Johnson, a junior from Veneta, was dubbed the CCC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week. She won the 5,000-meter run at Oregon State's Pacific Northwest Invite, crossing the line in an NAIA 'B' standard time of 17:07.95. 

Stedman, a junior from Roseburg, earned his first CCC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award. He ran a personal best and NAIA 'B' standard time of 14:33.42 at the Pacific Northwest Invite.

Both runners ran NAIA-leading times. They also both earned their fourth CCC Athlete of the Week award since the start of the academic year.
