ASHLAND – Hailey Seva was named the Cascade Conference's Rize Laboratory Softball Player of the Week on Monday after going 9-for-15 in Southern Oregon's series sweep at Corban.

Seva, a junior in her first season at SOU who has taken over as the Raiders' everyday right fielder, hit her third and fourth home runs during the four-game set. She also doubled and drove in at least one run each game, totaling six RBIs on the weekend.

Seva is batting .468 (22-for-47) during conference play, the sixth-highest batting average among CCC players with at least 20 at-bats. Her overall average is at .419, up 39 points after the weekend.

The No. 10-ranked Raiders stand at 28-9 overall and are tied with Oregon Tech for second in the CCC standings at 15-3, one game back of first-place Eastern Oregon. They're back home Friday and Saturday for a four-game series against fifth-place British Columbia.
