Headlines: The Raiders are fresh off their sharpest performance in recent memory, a 5-1 defeat of Oregon Tech in which they scored more goals than any opponent of the Owls – who were picked second in the Cascade Conference – since 2015. They're off to the best seven-game start in team history but have only played one on the road going into this week's trip to Montana, where they'll face two teams picked to finish among the top-six. Frida Vargas enters the matchups with two goals, five assists, and goal involvements in every victory.

SOU MEN'S SOCCER (8-0-1, 3-0-0 CCC)
6:30 p.m. Thursday – at Rocky Mountain (2-1-3, 1-1-1) | Stream | Stats
1:30 p.m. Saturday – at Carroll (5-1-1, 3-0-0) | Stream | Stats

Headlines: Riding the longest season-opening unbeaten streak in team history, the Raiders are sitting just outside of this week's NAIA Top 25 at No. 29 overall. Carroll is the only other Cascade Conference team receiving votes, and the teams' matchup on Saturday is, plainly, the most anticipated on the circuit calendar this season. The defending-champion Saints, winners of four games in a row, feature reigning CCC Offensive Player of the Year Felix Billard, reigning CCC Newcomer of the Year Alfie Snow, and All-American goalkeeper Juan Muniz Navarette. The Raiders will get back the services of top scorer Irwin Leon (7 goals, 1 assist), who missed last week's 1-0 win against Oregon Tech in which Mustafa Daggig tallied the lone goal in the 86th minute. It marked head coach Davie Carmichael's 100th victory at SOU.

SOU VOLLEYBALL (6-9, 3-5 CCC)
6 p.m. Friday – at No. 23 Northwest (10-4, 4-4) | Stream | Stats
4 p.m. Saturday – at Evergreen (1-11, 1-7) | Stream | Stats

Headlines: As the Raiders are learning, it's a bad year to lack an elite roster in an especially deep Cascade Conference. All five of their CCC losses have been against teams that are currently among the top-28 vote-getters in the NAIA coaches' poll, and they'll visit another such opponent on Friday in No. 23 Northwest (Wash.). The conference currently boasts four top-15 squads, including No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon, which has a two-match lead over the field in first place. The Raiders, who dropped out of the Top 25 on Wednesday but continue to receive votes, enter the weekend in eighth place and are only two wins out of fourth.

Headlines:
After taking the last two weekends off, the Raiders return to action on Saturday morning at Bush's Pasture Park in Salem. It'll be the biggest field they've seen thus far with 356 entries in the men's race and 304 on the women's side. The Raider men moved up three spots to No. 19 in last week's NAIA Top 25 poll on the strength of back-to-back meet victories, while the women stayed at No. 19 after taking first at the Simpson Invitational and second at the Humboldt Invitational. Junior transfer Carter Stedman and junior All-American Alyssa Johnson were the top collegiate finishers in both outings.
