ASHLAND – Southern Oregon will host next week's Cascade Conference Women's Wrestling Championships presented by U.S. Bank as the No. 10 team in the final NAIA coaches' poll, which was released Wednesday by the national office.
The Raiders had eight individuals among the top-20 wrestlers in their classes, a group headlined by the team's All-America sophomores: top-ranked heavyweight
Lillian Gradillas-Flores and No. 2 180-pounder
Kat Hingano.
Vida Boskovic was their third top-10 representative at No. 8 in the 160 class.
The CCC Championships are set for March 1 at Bob Riehm Arena as SOU defends its title. Providence (Mont.), ranked No. 3 in the final poll, will enter as the favorite, while No. 20 Evergreen (Wash.) will be the third nationally-ranked squad in attendance.
Gradillas-Flores and Hingano were both first in the final CCC rankings. Eight Raiders were top-three in their classes, which would put them in line for All-CCC honors.
