Following the successful defense of its Cascade Conference title, the No. 6-ranked Southern Oregon men's wrestling team is ready for a grand finale at the NAIA Championship.
Brackets were finalized on Wednesday and the tournament begins at 9 a.m. PT on Thursday morning inside Hartman Arena. The Raiders were one of six teams to hit the qualifier cap at 12, joining No. 1 Grand View (Iowa), No. 2 Life (Ga.), No. 3 Southeastern (Fla.), No. 5 Indiana Tech, and No. 7 Cumberlands (Ky.).
In SOU's lineup are five individuals who got their first taste of the national tournament last season, when the team notched its best finish since 2017 in ninth place.
Asher Ruchti is a returning All-American at 197 pounds and leads all Raiders as a No. 3 seed. They have additional top-16 seeds in No. 4

For the third year in a row, the tournament has a three-day, six-session format. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. PT every morning; they'll get through the first two rounds on Thursday, the championship semifinals and consolation quarterfinals on Friday, and the placement rounds on Saturday.
