GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Southern Oregon men's distance medley relay team finished 14th overall in the preliminary round on Day 1 of the NAIA Indoor Championships.

The team, made up of Josh Hepner, Brodie Leslie, Gus Blank, and Carter Stedman, placed fifth in heat two with a time of 10 minutes 10.40 seconds (10:10.40). They needed to place in the top three of their heat or run faster than 10:02.64 — a time standard set in heat one — to qualify for Saturday's final. Hepner split 3:05.60 (1,200m), Leslie 49.51 (400), Blank 1:56.84 (800) and Stedman 4:18.04 (1,600). 

Lilly Pickett competes next for the Raiders, running the 600-meter prelims on Friday at 10:45 a.m.
