GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Southern Oregon track and field team lived up to the hype, capping off the final day of the NAIA Indoor Championships with three All-American performances.

Carson Le Bel placed third in pole vault, clearing 15 feet 11 inches (4.85m) to earn his fourth All-America honor and third consecutive top-four finish at a national meet. "It's a pretty sweet feeling," said Le Bel. "It was a long offseason, so it's nice to know I've still got it."

The senior from Central Point cleared 4.70 meters on his first attempt, passed at 4.80 meters, and got over 4.85 on his first try.  He improved upon a fourth-place finish from last year's Indoor Championships. 

Mason Weisgerber placed third in the men's 5,000-meter run with a time of 14 minutes 18.07 seconds (14:18.07) to earn his second All-America honor on the track and third overall. He came through 1,600 meters in ninth place (4:38.66), 3,000 meters in fifth (8:39.73) and with a lap to go, he sat in fourth. Weisgerber delivered a 30.73-second final 200 meters to pass Mount Marty's Logan Ferrari and secure a top-three podium finish. 

Lilly Pickett took first in heat one of the women's 600-meter final and fourth overall to earn her first All-American award. "It feels great," said Pickett. "I'm soaking it all in, being fourth in the nation as a freshman. It only fuels me more going into the outdoor season." She was in last place in her four-person heat headed into the bell lap before swinging out in lane two on the final turn and passing first-place Najah Gibson of Life University right before the line. She ran a personal best time of 1:32.18. 

The Raider men finished 21st overall in the team standings. 

The SOU track and field team begins the outdoor season next week. opening up at the Chico Wildcat Invitational on Mar. 13-14.
