SALEM — Lilly Pickett improved upon her NAIA 'B' standard time and Sydney Perkins notched the 'B' mark for the first time at the Nancy & Norm Berney Classic on Saturday. 

Pickett placed first in the 400-meter run with a lifetime best, finishing in 55.36 seconds. It's the 12th fastest time in the NAIA this year and was just a quarter of a second off of the automatic qualifying time of 55.09. She improved upon her season-opening time of 56.13 at Linfield and moved up to No. 3 on the SOU all-time list. 

Perkins became just the third woman in SOU history to clear 12 feet in the pole vault, winning the event with a height of 3.68 meters (12-0 ¾). She adds her name to the list of five other Raiders, including Pickett, who've qualified for the NAIA national championships in Asheville, N.C. Perkins moved to 14th on the national performance list and third on the SOU all-time list. 

Trey Lucas set a personal best and Cascade Conference qualifying time in the 200-meter dash, winning in 22.17. Drew Hood placed second in javelin with a throw of 126 feet 11 inches (38.68m) and Ali Stevens finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a CCC qualifying time of 1:10.29.
