ASHLAND – Southern Oregon shortstop Brooke Nordahl notched the McDonald's Cascade Conference Softball Player of the Week award, presented by Urban Edge Network, on Monday following a monster series at Warner Pacific.

Nordahl went 9-for-15 with four extra-base hits, 10 RBIs and five runs scored in a four-game sweep of the Knights, which clinched the CCC's No. 3 seed for the Raiders. She drove in three runs in three different games and capped the set with back-to-back three-hit efforts.

The wins made the No. 6-ranked Raiders 37-13 overall and 16-8 in conference play. They'll be in Klamath Falls for the CCC Tournament, which is scheduled to run Friday through Sunday at Stilwell Stadium. SOU opens the six-team, double-elimination affair at 11:30 a.m. Friday against No. 6-seeded Simpson (Calif.).

Nordahl completed the regular season with a .324 batting average, nine doubles, four triples and two home runs. She started all 50 games and ranked fifth in the conference with 44 RBIs.

Unsurprisingly, the SOU beach volleyball team also collected conference honors. For the fourth time in five weeks, the Raiders were named the CCC Under Armour Team of the Week after winning their first NAIA Invitational championship.
