MARYSVILLE, Calif. – Southern Oregon junior Connor Calahan completed an under-par stay at the Chico State Wildcat Classic and the Raider men' finished second out of four NAIA teams in attendance on Tuesday at the Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.

Calahan, a first-year Raider from Flagstaff, Ariz., shot 1-under across three rounds to tie for 28th place on a 71-person leaderboard. He was at his best in the first round, when he shot a 3-under 69, and capped the tourney by carding a 72 in the third.

Calahan also led the Raiders at last week's Oregon Tech Fall Invitational, the first of Cascade Conference-counting events on the schedule. He has shot even-par or better in four of six rounds this season.

As a team, the Raiders were 16-over combined and ninth of 11 on the team table within a field that included seven NCAA Division II programs.

Ty Beyer tied for 47th at 4-over and Zanh Quang was one stroke behind in a tie for 51st. Quang also matched Calahan's 69 in the second round.

The Raiders will have the next two weeks off before traveling to Monterey, Calif., for the Menlo Invitational on Oct. 5-6.
