MEN'S LEADERBOARD | WOMEN'S LEADERBOARD
KLAMATH FALLS – The Southern Oregon University men's golf team climbed two spots in the standings to sixth place and the Raider women jumped one spot to seventh as the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational concluded on Tuesday at the Running Y Resort.
In their first outing of 2026-27 – which doubled as the first of four Cascade Conference-counting tournaments on the schedule – the Raiders were led by newcomer
Connor Calahan, a junior transfer who tied for 11th place out of 61 individuals on the men's leaderboard. The Flagstaff, Ariz., native shot 1-over across three rounds and closed with his strongest of the week, carding a 70 on the par-72 course with six birdies.
The Raider men were 29-over as a team.
Xanh Quang (+8) and
Ty Beyer (+8) tied for 25th place, while three others tied for 44th.
British Columbia broke a CCC men's 54-hole record by finishing 33-under and had the medalist in 15-under Jake Houston.
The Raider women were 120-over across two rounds behind junior
Mia Bontrager, who shot an 83 in the first and an 82 in the second to finish 21-over in 24th place. Bontrager accounted for SOU's two best individual rounds of the tournament.
Mya Oakes (+28) was 32nd,
Abby Francis (+29) was 33rd, and
Grace Geyer (+49) and
Samuella Couch (+49) tied for 47th out of 51.
British Columbia also won the women's tournament by a margin of 17 strokes, finishing 3-over. The runner-up, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) produced the medalist, Isabella Barquet (-1).
SOU returns to the course next week at the Chico State Wildcat Classic in Marysville, Calif.
