LEWISTON, Idaho – The Southern Oregon men's golf team was crisp again in the third round to claim fifth place and the Raider women finished seventh in the standings on Tuesday in The Warrior Fall Invitational.

Following a rough, 32-over par opening round on Monday, the Raider men put forth two of their best team efforts ever at a Cascade Conference event – combining to shoot 3-over in the second round and 4-over in the third. They climbed three spots in the standings as a result and were just one stroke behind fourth-place Oregon Tech.

Ty Beyer wrapped with SOU's only under-par round of the tournament, carding a 71 at the par-72 Lewiston Country Club. He tied for 19th place out of 56 golfers at 8-over across 54 holes, and Ryder Jacox (+9) was just one stroke behind in a tie for 23rd place.

Xanh Quang finished by turning in consecutive 73s, winding up at 12-over in a tie for 28th, while Connor Calahan (+13 tied for 32nd.

Mia Bontrager (+19) paced the Raider women in 24th place. Abby Francis (+20), who tied for 25th, had SOU's best second-round score with an 81.

Mya Oakes (+33) was 39th and Grace Geyer (+62) was 45th out of 47 women's golfers.

British Columbia won both team tournaments, edging host Lewis-Clark State by three strokes on the men's side at 7-under. LC State produced the men's medalist in Carson Clinton (-7) and UBC had the women's in Keira Hou (-1).

SOU will play its final tournament of the fall next Monday and Tuesday at Bushnell's Tall Timber Invitational in Eugene. The next CCC event on the schedule is April 5-6 at the Corban Spring Invitational.
