MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS

TACOMA, Wash. – Mason Weisgerber and the No. 3-ranked Southern Oregon men's cross country team came away with comfortable race victories in the Pacific Lutheran Invitational on Saturday afternoon at PLU Meadows.

The men's 8,000-meter trek was split into two fields and the Raiders dominated theirs, accumulating 39 points to second-place Northwest (Wash.)'s 48. Weisgerber, the senior All-American, cleared the runner-up by 19 seconds in 24:19.3, and SOU occupied two of the other top-four spots with Andrew Rush (24:53.1) and Carter Stedman (24:57.1).

Alyssa Johnson, another senior All-American, ran a strong 6K for the No. 10-ranked Raider women with a time of 21:46.6 that was good for third place out of 147 runners. SOU took sixth out of 15 in the team standings and matched fifth-place Central Washington's point total with 187.

The scoring runners for the Raider men were separated by less than two minutes. The others were 13th-place Josh Hepner (25:30.6) and 18th-place Gus Blank (26:08.9).

Emily Picard (23:23.2) took 38th, Meadow Baxter (24:11.8) was 63rd and Mercedes Harms (24:18.9) was 66th for the Raider women.

The Raiders are off next weekend and run next at Willamette's Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 3.
