The Southern Oregon women's tennis team gave up just seven games as they cruised to a 9-0 victory over Mills College in Oakland, Calif.
Southern Oregon is now 3-0 on the season and will take on Dominican Sunday.
Katie Ross (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lakeridge),
Erin Bruni (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon) and
Mallory Byers (Bend, Ore./Mountain View) each cruised through the day without dropping a game.
Ross won her No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-0 and then teamed up with
Rebecca Weicher (Grants Pass, Ore./Grants Pass) for an 8-0 doubles victory.
Bruni won the No. 4 singles match and Byers won the No. 5 singles match before the two teamed up for an 8-0 victory in the No. 2 double match.
Charlotte Duren (Gig Harbor, Wash./South Kitsap),
Heidi Chiles (Redding, Calif./Foothill) and
Elizabeth Kiger (Logan, Utah/Logan) were also victories in singles play and Duren and Chiles won their doubles match.
SOU will also take on Notre Dame de Namur Tuesday in Belmont, Calif. Before returning home to face Shasta College on March 14.
