The Southern Oregon women's tennis team held tough, but couldn't do enough and fell to NCAA Division II Sonoma State 9-0 today at Rohnert Park, Calif.
Sonoma State, ranked 45th in the NCAA Division II polls, improved to 8-5 on the season. Southern Oregon wrapped up a week-long road trip and fell to 3-5 on the season.

Allison Bostrom (Corvallis, Ore./Crescent Valley) and
Lexi Thomas (Redding, Calif./Shasta) put up a battle in the No. 1 doubles match before falling 8-6.
Liz Kiger was the highlight for the Raiders in the singles matches. Kiger dropped a tough 7-6 tiebreak decision in the first set and the fell 6-4 in the second set.
SOU travels to NAIA regional rival Lewis-Clark State next Thursday.
