The Southern Oregon women's tennis team swept the three doubles matches and defeated Pacific 6-3 today in Forest Grove.
The Raiders improved to 2-2 on the season with the victory. The NCAA Division III Boxers dropped to 2-4.
Southern Oregon jumped out to a 3-0 lead after sweeping the three doubles matches.
Allison Bostrom (Corvallis, Ore./Crescent Valley) and
Addie Morrow (Redding, Calif./Foothill) won the No. 1 doubles match 8-6, while Liz Kiger and
Emma Wilson (Crescent City, Calif./Del Norte) won the No. 2 match (8-3) and
Katrina Sauer (Soldotna, Alaska/Cactus) and
Kayla Carroll (Butteville, Ore./North Marion) won the No. 3 match.
In singles play, Kiger won the No. 3 match, Sauer won the No. 5 match and Carroll won the No. 3 match.
Kiger won the first set 6-3 and then was down 4-1 before rattling off five straight points for the victory.
Carroll dropped the first set 6-4 and then won the next two to take the match.
The Raiders are now off until March 13 when they travel to Mills College.
