Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Southern Oregon University men's basketball team was in a funk from start to finish in an 80-64 loss at Westmont on Friday night.

Tim Weber (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) and David Sturner (Philomath, Ore./Philomath) scored 13 points apiece, but the fourth-ranked Raiders (2-1 overall) fell into a quick 17-4 hole and 34-percent shooting from the field (17-for-50) stopped them from ever recovering.

Westmont – the defending champion of the NAIA Division I Golden State Athletic Conference – was led by CJ Miller's 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting. The Warriors took a 46-29 advantage into halftime and it never shrunk to less than 12 points in the second frame as they shot 58 percent (35-for-60) as a team.

Sturner also had a team-high nine rebounds for SOU. Jeff Bush (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) contributed six rebounds and five assists.

The Raiders will travel to Santa Clarita, Calif., for Saturday's 7 p.m. game against The Master's, another member of the GSAC.
