ASHLAND – Sixty-two Southern Oregon University student-athletes were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes for the 2019-20 season Tuesday, which was dubbed the first annual NAIA Awards Day by the national office.
To qualify for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete distinction, one must reach junior or senior academic status with a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average. The field was expanded this year by including those who reached junior status by the end of the academic calendar.
