HEADLINES: The Raiders have checked every box during the longest season-opening unbeaten streak in program history: they've outscored opponents 19-3 combined; they've gotten results against two Top 25 opponents; they have the Cascade Conference's top goal-scorer in Tori Lasch (6), the second-leading scorer in Ava Johnson (5), and just returned the services of last year's top producer, Abby McKean; their goalkeeper, Ashlyn Fuss, is running the highest save rate (94%) in the NAIA; and they just went a full game without allowing a shot for the first time in six seasons. It's the kind of start they'd hoped for on the heels of a record-breaking 2025 campaign, stretching back to which their regular-season unbeaten streak stands at 11 games – tied for the longest in team history. They continue to receive votes in the national poll and appear to be on the verge of a Top 25 breakthrough, but in their way is an Oregon Tech team that hasn't lost to SOU in Klamath Falls since 2016. The Owls lost last year's matchup in Ashland, 5-1, and have not yet defeated a team with a winning record. But they'll be at home for the first time this season and are 10-0-2 in their last 12 games at OIT Field dating back to 2024.

HEADLINES: After two suspenseful performances last week – when Jonathan Gaspar notched game-winning goals with 13 seconds left at Northwest (Wash.) and in the 85th minute at Evergreen (Wash.) – the Raiders will see a team this week that specializes in tight contests. Oregon Tech, like SOU, remains unbeaten and had tied five of its last six games before pulling out a 2-1 win in its most recent outing at Northwest. SOU needed Mustafa Daggig's 86th-minute winner to take last year's matchup in Ashland, 1-0, and is 8-1-1 in Cascade Conference games all-time against the Owls. The Raiders were the only team to open CCC play with a six-point weekend and had another encouraging development with the return of junior striker Ariel De Dios Cruz, who hadn't played six scoring six goals in the first six games of 2025. In his 12 minutes at Evergreen, he delivered an equalizer in the 82nd minute and assisted Gaspar's winner. He and the Raiders will look to improve to 5-0 on the road. They have yet to concede multiple goals in a game and are receiving Top 25 votes.

HEADLINES: The Raiders pummeled their way to two sweeps last week, at Oregon Tech and against last-place Warner Pacific, but they'll learn a lot more this week about where they stand against two more teams jostling for top positions in a deep Cascade Conference. Bushnell opened the season at No. 19 in the NAIA rankings and would almost certainly return to the Top 25 with a win against SOU, while No. 6-ranked Corban hasn't lost more than three matches in CCC play since 2019 and is trying to avoid its fourth of the first half. The Raiders have continued to get stellar production from their middles, but a return to consistent form for All-CCC junior right-side Friley Curtiss would give them their best chance during a pivotal stretch. Curtiss keyed last year's turnaround, was recovering from injury to start this season, and over her last three matches has supplied 31 kills on a .322 attacking average.
