VALLEJO, Calif. – Matt Forsyth played another stellar round to finish third on the individual leaderboard and lead the Southern Oregon men's golf team to third in the final team standings Tuesday at the Cal Maritime Fall Invite.

Forsyth carded a 2-over-par 72 in the second round after shooting 71 in the first to wrap up at 3-over in the 31-person men's tournament at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course. The Raiders totaled 299 strokes in Round 1 and 295 in Round 2 to finish at 34-over as a team.

Haley Brown was 28-over in seventh place of 17 on the women's side to help SOU to second of three in the team standings. Thyra Altvatter registered the best round of the tournament for the Raider women with a 76 – trimming 21 strokes off her Round 1 score – to tie for eighth in the standings at 33-over.

Forsyth led the Raider men for the first time this season. Nathaniel Frink was two strokes behind him in eighth place at 5-over after carding a 71 on Tuesday. Ricky Reisner (+12) tied for 17th and Dylan Ivens (+17) was 20th.

The individual champions were College of Idaho's Ethan Schloss (-3) and Menlo's Catherine Batang (+8).
