ASHLAND – Southern Oregon University's fall sports teams produced 27 NAIA Scholar Athletes, matching the athletic department's second-highest total ever for the season.
To earn the NAIA Scholar Athlete distinction, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 and have logged at least one full year at their current institution by the start of the season.
The Raiders had a stellar academic fall collectively with a 3.16 combined department GPA.
