CRESWELL – Matt Forsyth carded Southern Oregon's top score for the second round in a row Tuesday at Emerald Valley Golf Club and is locked into a five-way tie for ninth place heading into the third and final round of the Cascade Conference Golf Championships presented by U.S. Bank.

After shooting 4-over in Round 1 on the par-71 course, Forsyth went 6-over in Round 2. Nathaniel Frink is also among the top-20 in the 46-person field, following up his 76 with a 79 to sit tied for 18th place at 13-over.

The Raiders fell three spots in the team standings to seventh place, combining for 320 strokes after totaling 308 in Round 1. They're at 60-over, and British Columbia is eight strokes up on Bushnell for the lead at 18-over. Individually, Bushnell's Caden Stubbs and Lewis-Clark State's Jørgen Viken are tied atop the leaderboard at 2-under.

On the women's side, Haley Brown led the Raiders again by carding a 90 on the par-72 course and is currently in 17th place of 30 total golfers at 30-over. Bryn Lawson is 22nd at 42-over after shooting a 94 in Round 2.

SOU is in fifth place of six teams in the overall standings.

Wednesday's final round begins at 8 a.m.
