COMPLETE RACE RESULTS
SALEM – Led by freshman
Fiona Fraser, the No. 9-ranked Southern Oregon women's cross country team had three of the top-13 in a 180-person race Saturday at the Linfield George Oja Invitational on Oak Knoll Golf Course.
The Raider women finished fourth out of 19 total teams and were the best out of five Cascade Conference outfits in attendance. The Raider men, who put
Mason Weisgerber in 18th place and
Jalen Griego in 23rd among a 260-person field, were eighth out of 23 in the team standings.
SOU's first three women's finishers each recorded new 6,000-meter PRs: Fraser (21:31.4) in ninth place,
Alyssa Johnson (21:47.0) in 12th and
Cammeo Ramirez (21:49.8) in 13th. The team's fourth and fifth scorers were 77th-place
Mercedes Harms (24:20.2) and 78th-place
Ashley Jentzsch (24:21.8).
The Raiders accumulated 144 points. Oregon State won the team title with 42 and Portland had 45.
On the men's side, Weisberger hit the 8K finish line in 25:08.5, a season best, and Griego turned in a PR time of 25:13.3. SOU's next three scorers –
Mason Moler (26:17.7),
Hayden Roth (26:42.5) and
Roman Hernandez (26:49.0) – also established new bests.
Portland won the men's team race with 19 points, putting all five of its scorers among the top-eight. The Pilots' Bradley Peloquin was the individual champ in 23:52.2.
SOU is off for the next two weekends before traveling to Portland for the Cascade Conference Championships on Nov. 8.
