ASHLAND – Southern Oregon's Meghan McIntyre and Carolina Moreno have been voted Cascade Conference Athletes of the Week, the CCC office announced Monday.

McIntyre, a senior point guard for the No. 10-ranked SOU women's basketball team, helped the Raiders defeat consecutive top-six opponents – a feat for which they were named the CCC Under Armor Team of the Week. She earned the conference's top defensive honors after compiling seven steals and 13 rebounds at the Cattle Classic in Seward, Neb., over the weekend.

McIntyre flirted with a triple-double in a 70-68 win over No. 6 Dakota State (S.D.), going for 14 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, then posted 10 points and four assists in a 71-68 defeat of No. 5 Concordia (Neb.).

Moreno, a top-ranked, three-time NAIA champion, opened the 2024-25 women's wrestling season with a Menlo Open title on Sunday for the No. 10 Raiders. She defeated all three of her opponents by technical-fall shutout, outscoring them 34-0 combined. In the championship, she won 12-0 over Menlo (Calif.) All-American Ajayzee Zaballos. In the process, she extended her winning streak to 44 matches.
