EUGENE – Cammeo Ramirez and Mason Weisgerber ran the third- and eighth-fastest 1,500-meter times in the NAIA, and five Raiders produced personal bests at the Oregon Preview on Friday and Saturday.

Ramirez, a senior, placed 34th with a personal best time of 4 minutes 39.87 seconds to move to No. 3 on SOU's all-time list. Teammate Alyssa Johnson finished 48th in 4:45.86 and moved to eighth on the all-time list. The pair earned their first All-America honors last fall where Johnson placed 32nd and Ramirez 34th at the NAIA Cross Country Championships.

On the men's side, Weisgerber placed 11th out of 57 runners with a personal best time of 3:56.77. Frankie Maciel finished 15th (3:58.12) in his first competition since his 26th-place finish in the 5K prelims at last year's NAIA Outdoor Championships. Jalen Griego rounded out the Raiders with a 28th-place finish and a personal best time of 4:00.67

Freshman Rogue Newton set a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles (57.80), taking almost three seconds off the previous mark (1:00.56) he set at the LCC Open last weekend.

Trey Lucas (49.56) and Dylan Heath (51.00) took eighth and 17th, respectively, in the men's 400.  

In the throws, Kobe Johnson took ninth in shot put (15.00m/49-2 ½) and Ilyhia Greely placed 10th in discus (36.11m/118-05).

Carson Le Bel (4.56m/14-11 ½) took sixth and Keith Soreson (4.26m/13-11 ¾) claimed ninth in pole vault.

Next up for the Raiders are the San Francisco Distance Carnival and the Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational in McMinnville on April 4 and 5.
