MEN'S LEADERBOARD | WOMEN'S LEADERBOARD
PORTLAND – The Southern Oregon men's golf team moved into third place and
Keira Cheng jumped into the top-10 for the Raider women in Round 2 of the Cascade Conference Championship presented by U.S. Bank on Tuesday at Glendoveer Golf Course.
Riley Kirk continues to lead the Raider men and will enter Wednesday's third and final round tied for third place at 1-under. The freshman ended the first round atop the leaderboard after carding 2-under 71, and he followed with a 74 in the second – matching
Mason Labow for SOU's best round of the day.
SOU stands at 18-over in the men's race, one stroke ahead of fourth-place College of Idaho and two in front of fifth-place Corban. British Columbia has a commanding 16-stroke lead at 11-under, and the Thunderbirds' Aidan Schumer is tied for the No. 1 spot on the individual leaderboard with College of Idaho's Lucas Rynearson at 4-under. Schumer birdied eight of his first 10 holes and finished 9-under on the day.

Oliver Ausland totaled 75 strokes in the second round and is alone in 17th place at 5-over.
For the women, Cheng rebounded from a 10-over opening round by going 1-over in Round 2, making the biggest climb of any individual from 19th to ninth place. She and the Raiders are fifth in the team standings at 75-over, five strokes behind fourth-place College of Idaho.
Mia Bontrager (+15) carded a 79 in Round 2 and is tied for 14th place.
Abby Francis (+23) carded an 84 and is tied for 20th.
At 17-over, the top-ranked UBC women have a 10-stoke lead over second-place Oregon Tech. They Thunderbirds also have the leader in Elizabeth Labbe, who is 5-under.
Competition on Wednesday begins at 8 a.m. All golfers will start on the first hole.
