MEET SCHEDULE | MEN'S ENTRIES | WOMEN'S ENTRIES
ASHLAND – The Southern Oregon University track and field team had 15 entries accepted for next week's NAIA Outdoor Championships, the complete field for which was released Friday by the national office.
The meet has a new schedule, running next Wednesday through Friday, and a new home: the Indiana Wesleyan Track and Field Complex in Marion, Indiana.
SOU will be represented in seven men's events, including four throws disciplines. Two Raiders are doubling up:
Isaac Fernandez in the 5,000 meters and the 10K, and
Andrew Mitchell in the discus and javelin. Mitchell is the team's lone top-eight seed, set to enter the javelin with the No. 3 mark on the national performance list.
The Raider women are entered in five events and will have three runners in the 10K:
Haylee Brodahl,
Sydnee Kizziar and
Alejandra Lopez.
Abi Stevens is competing in both the heptathlon and the high jump, taking top-eight seeds as a returning All-American in both.
A complete meet preview will be published next week.
