ASHLAND – Southern Oregon University was among nine Cascade Collegiate Conference athletic departments to earn Presidents' Cup Academic Excellence status for the 2022-23 academic year, the CCC office announced.

Receiving the designation requires a department's CCC athletes to achieve an overall combined GPA of 3.0 or better and for 60 percent or more of those eligible for the honor to attain Academic All-CCC status.

The Raiders' CCC-sponsored sports logged a combined 3.29 GPA and produced 107 Academic All-CCC honorees out of 178 student-athletes eligible for recognition.

"Earning Presidents' Academic Excellence designation represents the highest academic honor our departments can earn from the CCC," CCC Commissioner Robert Cashell said. "It is a great accomplishment and recognizes the outstanding efforts in the classroom."
