COMPLETE LEADERBOARDS
KLAMATH FALLS – Southern Oregon freshman
Ethan Miller shot the low round of his career, a 4-under 68, and took a two-stroke lead through Monday through the first of two rounds in the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational at Running Y Ranch.
Miller's big day, which included five birdies, marked his second straight sub-70 round going back to last week's outing against Simpson. It also gave the Raiders a team lead at 4-over, three strokes ahead of Menlo (Calif.) on the team leaderboard.
Riley Kirk and
Ryder Jacox are tied for sixth place at 2-over, while
Mason Labow and
Ricky Reisner are tied for ninth at 3-over.
In the women's tournament, SOU's
Keira Cheng stands in a tie for second place after opening with a 3-over round. The sophomore is three strokes behind the leader, Oregon Tech's Quincy Beyrouty.
Haley Brown (+9) is tied for 15th and
Mia Bontrager (+9) is 28th on the 44-person leaderboard. As a team, the Raiders finished the round in fourth place at 46-over. Oregon Tech (+13) is on top.
Tuesday's second round will have a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
