Stevens places 6th in high jump for 13th All-America award

GAINESVILLE, Fla.
Abi Stevens improved upon her record-breaking week by earning a 13th NAIA All-America honor Friday, placing sixth in the high jump during Day 2 of the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Alachua County Sports & Events Center.

She cleared 1.71 meters (5 feet 7 1/4 inches) to make her sixth appearance on the podium for the high jump at a national meet. Melanie Byrne is the only other individual in Raider women's track and field history to earn an All-America honor in the high jump.

Stevens's performance comes off of claiming her first individual title, winning the pentathlon with 3,824 points on Thursday. She has yet to place lower than seventh at a NAIA Championship meet.

Emma Valentine of Siena Heights won the title by clearing 1.80 meters (5-10¾). 

The Raiders are represented by Carson Le Bel in the pole vault on the final day. It starts at 10:15 a.m. PST.
