ASHLAND – Southern Oregon's 11 seniors went out on a high note Saturday afternoon in their final appearance at the Raider Beach Courts.

The No. 7-ranked Raiders took over sole possession of second place in the Cascade Conference standings entering the final week of the regular season with back-to-back 5-0 wins against Bushnell, improving to 10-7 overall and 8-3 in the CCC.

After eking out a 3-2 win over the Beacons three weeks ago in the teams' first meeting, the Raiders lost only one set all day while completing the series sweep. Their No. 1 pair, Madi Gray and Tessa Zimmermann, were pushed to a tiebreaker in the first dual of the day but rolled 15-9 against Olivia Kelzenberg and Jazmyn Wilcox.

SOU's No. 3 pair, Lucretia Benolken and Kira Sandoval, polished off a 3-0 weekend. So did the No. 5 pair, Kendal Hadwick and Skyy Nihipali-Botelho.

The No. 2 pair, Linda Conceicao and Grace Gulbrandsen, handled Jadeya Hayes and Makenna Mosher twice and the No. 4 pair, Natalie Perez and Andressa Ribeiro Soares, surrendered more than 15 points in just one of its four sets.

Four Raider seniors walked away with exhibition victories: Mya Massey and Savannah Schwindt, and Vitoria Mattos and Addison Weckerle.

The Raiders play four times next weekend in Caldwell, Idaho. They're one win up on third-place College of Idaho, which they'll face twice while attempting to wrap up the No. 2 seed.
