SALEM – The No. 2-ranked Corban beach volleyball team pinned stuck No. 7 Southern Oregon with a 5-0 loss in Cascade Conference dual action Saturday at the Corban Beach Courts.

Four Raider pairs forced tiebreaker sets – No. 1 Madi Gray and Tessa Zimmermann, No. 2 Grace Gulbrandsen and Linda Conceicao, and No. 4 Natalie Perez and Andressa Ribeiro Soares, and No. 5 Skyy Nihipali-Botelho and Kendal Hadwick. The Warriors won each of them decisively.

Corban, which defeated SOU 3-2 on Friday, improved to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the CCC. The Raiders fell to 3-6 and 1-2.

"We are getting better and still need to clean some things up," SOU coach Paul Elliott said.

The Raiders are home next week for the first time. They host Northwest (Wash.) at 4 p.m. Friday, College of Idaho at noon Saturday, and Northwest again at 4 p.m. Saturday.
