COMPLETE MEET RESULTS

CHICO, Calif. – Southern Oregon logged a win and three runner-up finishes in its outdoor track and field season opener Friday and Saturday at Chico State's Wildcat Invite.

Junior Katherine Martinez set a personal best and placed first in women's pole vault, clearing 3.56 meters. It's her second win of the year, after taking first in pole vault at the George Fox Indoor meet in February.

Sydney Perkins, a transfer from Shasta College, finished runner-up (3.46m) in pole vault behind Martinez in her Raider debut.

JaQuieze Holland, a redshirt freshman from Las Vegas, finished runner-up in the men's triple jump with a mark of 12.88 meters. Holland, who also plays running back for the SOU Raiders football team, came back to finish fourth in the long jump (6.60m).

Ilyhia Greely placed second in discus, throwing 39.28 meters. The senior from Lane C.C. also finished third in the hammer with a throw of 43.15 meters. 

Kobe Johnson claimed fourth in shot put (15.20m) in his season debut. It's the senior's best throw in a Raider singlet after finishing with a season best of 14.30m last year. The transfer from Lane C.C. boasts a personal best of 15.51m in shot put.

Freshman Tre Lucas finished eighth in the 100m prelims in 11.05 seconds to claim a spot in the finals where he finished fifth in 11.20. The former Lava Bear from Bend High School doubled back in the 200m with a personal best of 22.33.

The Raiders totaled eight men's and four women's Cascade Qualifying marks at the meet. They return to action next Saturday in Eugene at the Titan Invitational.
