COMPLETE MEET RESULTS

SALEM – The Southern Oregon track and field team won two events and set three personal bests on Saturday at the Nancy & Norm Berney Classic on the campus of Corban University.

Sydney Perkins finished first in the pole vault with a new lifetime best, clearing 3.60 meters (11-09 3⁄4) and cracking the top-20 on the NAIA performance list. It was the first win of the junior's collegiate career and an improvement of 5 ½ inches over her previous best. Katherine Martinez took second, clearing 3.45 meters (11-03 3⁄4).

Kobe Johnson beat out a field of ten in the shot put, taking first with a throw of 15.45 meters (50-08 1⁄4). It's the senior's second furthest mark of the season and his second straight victory after claiming first last weekend at the Oregon Tech Invite.

Isaiah Hidalgo set two personal bests, taking fifth in the 100 (11.57) and seventh in the 200 (23.60). The senior from Ceres, Calif., has improved his marks in both events in every outing this season.

The Raiders claimed eight other top three finishes from Dylan Heath (second, 200m), Rogue Newton (second, 400m hurdles), JaQuieze Holland (second, triple jump), Derrick Bennett (third, discus and hammer), Keith Sorenson (third, pole vault), Ilyhia Greely (third, discus), and the men's 4x100-meter relay team (second).

SOU heads back up I-5 for the Oregon State High Performance Meet and Linfield Open on May 2 and 3.
