ASHLAND – For the second week in a row, the Southern Oregon University beach volleyball team has churned out the NAIA Pair of the Week.
Grace Gulbrandsen and
Tessa Zimmermann were announced Tuesday as the Raiders' latest national award winners, a week after teammates
Molly Grace and
Kira Sandoval earned the honor.
As the No. 4-ranked Raiders' No. 1 pair, Gulbrandsen and Zimmermann enjoyed a 4-0 weekend as SOU defeated No. 9 College of Idaho twice, Northwest (Wash.) and Simpson (Calif.) on the road. Their Northwest match was a forfeit, but they won the other three in straight sets.
Gulbrandsen and Zimmermann improved to 9-3 on the season. SOU went to 10-2 overall and 8-1 in the Cascade Conference, standing one win behind first-place Corban.
