Southern Oregon University Athletics

The 1978 wrestling team won the Evergreen Conference and the NAIA District II Championships along the path to the national title.  The team's dual meet record was 10-4.  Team members included Dave Adams, Greg Barreto, B.J. Boatsman, Tom Brooks, Dennis Dixon, Jim Dugo, Joe Hagler, Rich Holliman, Darrell Landers, Jim Mannenbach, Doug Monroe, Dan Nugent, Larry Nugent, John Olson, Pat Zahner, and Genero Zamudio.  The coaching staff included: Bob Riehm, head coach and assistant coaches Bob Hensel and Jeff Matthews.
