Miller is the school's first regional volleyball all-star and she still holds the school's single-season kills record (437 in 1982). Miller, who also lettered in basketball, led SOU in kills and attack percentage for three consecutive seasons, including on both Raider teams that posted 40-win seasons. Nicknamed "Stretch", she teamed with older sister Patti on the 1981 squad and they combined for 534 kills and 254 blocks to help SOU win the Cascade Conference championship and amass a program-best 44-9 record. AS a senior Miller was an all-league and all-region selection on the 1983 team that went 40-14.
