Southern Oregon University Athletics

From the class of 1950, Tex was a 3-sport athlete participating in football, basketball, and baseball.  As a member of the school's only undefeated football team (8-0) of 1946, he was selected to the Far Western Conference 1st team as tight end as well as receiving Associated Press Pacific Coast 2nd team honors.  Playing basketball for 2 years, he was a starter on the 1946-47 basketball team a squad that posted a 24-4 record and went on to the NAI B Tournament.  Tex played 4 years as a standout member of the Raider baseball team.
