Brandi Brown starred for the SOU softball team when it was reinstated in 2001. After playing for SOU from 2001-03, Brown will enter the Hall of Fame with virtually every program season and career pitching record. Brown owns the season records for victories (26 in 2003), ERA (1.22 in 2002), innings pitched (242 in 2001), strikeouts (204 in 2001) and complete game shutouts (11 in 2002).

For career records, Brown ranks first in victories (73), ERA (1.54), innings pitched (664.2), strikeouts (548), complete games (70) and complete game shutouts (21). Brown also recorded a pair of no-hitters during her career. With the bat, Brown ranks among SOU's career leaders in doubles, home runs and runs batted in. She earned NAIA All-American honors as a senior in 2003, was named Cascade Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2003 and earned All-CCC honors all three years of her SOU career.
