Craig Johnson was a three-sport letterman for SOU.  He was an outstanding basketball player and trackman from 1966-1969.  He played guard on the 1968 district championship basketball team under Head Coach Bill Holmes.  Johnson was a star sprinter in track and field and contributed points in the high jump and pole vault, leading the team to district championships.  In football Craig played wide receiver and gained accolades as outstanding lineman for the district by scoring three touchdowns against a strong St. Marys team.  Upon graduation Craig continued his athletic endeavors as a teacher and coach.  His skill and sense of humor made him a real "sparkplug."
