JD Alley went 93-33-2 during his career with the SOU wrestling program.  The heavyweight placed third at the NAIA championships in 1988 and was the national runner-up in 1989. As a team, the Raiders finished second once and third twice at the NAIA Championships with Alley. At the NAIA District II tournament he placed third as a freshman and sophomore, first as a junior, and second as a senior. After collecting a business degree in 1990, Alley became one of the most accomplished high school wrestling coaches in Oregon.
