Randy Settell is Southern Oregon's first three-time track and field All-American.  As a senior in 1988, the Medford native became the first Raider athlete to throw the shot put over 60 feet while capturing the NAIA title, and he was SOU's first two-event All-American after finishing as the national runner-up in the discus.  The four-time regional champion garnered All-American honors for the first time in 1987 with a second-place, 58-8 shot put effort.  The 1988 NAIA District II Athlete of the Year's regional-best shot put mark (60-10 1/2) as well as his career-best discus heave (175-6 1/2) remain school records.
