Sally Boyer stepped into the No. 1 singles slot as a true freshman and never relinquished her role as the team's top position during her four-year Raider tennis career. Boyer compiled a 46-24 career record against competitors from colleges and universities in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. She appeared in the area or district singles championship match all four years and won regional titles in singles and doubles as a junior in 1977. As a senior, the Lake Oswego native notched her second consecutive district singles championship and helped Southern Oregon to a 12-1 record. Boyer and the Raiders went on to a 10th-place team finish at the 1978 Small College National Tournament.
