Southern Oregon University Athletics

From the class of 1965, Doyle distinguished himself in football and track and field.  In numerous dual and triangular track meets, he "tripled" by winning his specialties: The 100 and 220 yard dashes, and the long jump.  To this date, he remains the school record holder in the 100 yard dash at 9.5 seconds.  While being drafted by both the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders as a defensive back, Doyle signed a contract with the Raiders.
