Hall of Fame
Keith Wade was the first men's basketball All-American in school history. Affectionately nicknamed "runt", he used his height to great advantage and established a school record with 1,450 career points. A two-time first-team All Far West Conference selection as a center, Wade led the league in scoring as a junior and senior. His single-season record of 613 points in his 1951 All-American year, including a career-high of 45 against Humboldt State, stood as a top school mark for almost 40 years. Wade led SOCE to 22-win seasons and two appearances in the Northwest Regional Championship game in 1949 and 1951.
