Hall of Fame
Phil has served as an athletic trainer for 32 years at the collegiate level. From 1981-1999 Phil was SOU's head athletic trainer and coordinator for the athletic trainer internship. He also served as assistant AD for 2 years and sat as Atheltic Director for 4 years while at SOU. Phil was the staff trainer for 15 years with the United States swim team, head trainer for the 1982 World Swim Chmapionships, and Athletic Trainer for the 1984 Olympic swim team. Phil served as the head trainer for the NAIA college baseball World Series for two years. He was also the president of the NAIA Athletic Trainers Association for two years.
